Field Permit Terms
and Conditions
If you’d like to apply for a
permit to use one of our fields, please take a moment to read over
the following. You cannot apply for a field without agreeing to
comply with the terms and conditions listed below.
·
Each group of players using a field or court must
purchase and possess a permit. RIOC reserves the right to request
that the players provide proof of the approved ballfield or court
use.
·
The maximum number of reserved sessions that any
adult single permit-holder or league may control is limited to
twenty hours per week. The maximum length of any permit is six
months.
·
The permittee is responsible for the conduct of
anyone playing under this permit and will be liable for damages to
persons or property arising from such conduct.
·
RIOC retains the right to temporarily suspend
this permit, or to change the permit location. The agency will make
reasonable efforts to provide an alternate location.
·
All applicants must allow FIVE business days for
permits to be processed.
·
Alcoholic beverages may not be sold or consumed
on RIOC property except where designated by sign or special permit.
·
Littering is prohibited. Teams must leave the
field or court free of litter and debris.
·
RIOC reserves the right to require a permittee to
post a security deposit to ensure compliance with these rules.
·
This permit may be terminated if the field or
court is reserved but not used.
·
Permittees should call Donna Masly, Program
Service Assistant, in advance if unable to use any assigned time
sessions, so RIOC can try to accommodate others who wish to use the
field or court.
·
The permittee must confine sports activities to
the locations and times specified on the permit.
