The Department of Public Safety has issued new uniforms to the officers.  These uniforms are made for comfort and safety. 

They feature an all-patch design to avoid pin sticks from badges and collar brass and are made of a more durable and comfortable material.  They will feature a Community Policing type jacket in the colder weather, so they can be seen easier in the dark.  Back patches are adorned on their outermost garments for easy recognition. 

Their new look will also allow the officers to perform their duties, such as the use of bicycles and Segways, and clearly distinguish them from other organizations that wear similar uniforms.
