Tramway Evacuation Drill

On Sunday, April 26, 2009 we had our last Tram drill prior to the installation of the new Tram system.  NYPD Emergency Services and Counter Terrorism Units were present, and they were able to participate in the drill in the morning utilizing their own equipment.

 

On July 6, 2009 we will be taking the Tram out of service and they will be working on a new Tram system.  A new set of emergency protocols will be in place for the new Tram which will run on a dual system with each car running independently from the other.  The new Tram should be in place by the third week of December.
